On Sunday, we had the privilege of attending the Black Dog Institute annual "1 Dayer" ride at Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast, held on the third Sunday of March alongside events across every state and territory in Australia.
Since its beginnings in 2009 as a single ride to raise awareness of depression, Black Dog Ride has grown into a national movement, involving thousands of Australians who’ve raised millions for mental health programs — all while fostering vital conversations around mental health.
It was an amazing turnout of riders, all united for an important cause. This a significant reminder around the importance of mateship; whether it’s over a coffee, a burger, a beer, or a ride....
Mateship, in whatever form it takes, plays a significant role in supporting the overall health and well-being of men and boys.
